The
Arabian Horse naturally excels in the activities of
Endurance Riding, Competitive Riding, and Pleasure Trail
Riding. AHDRA works to promote and encourage the use of the
Arabian Horse in these fields.

For visitors coming from the south, east and west, BIG
RIVER can be reached from Highway 164. The forest is well
signed on Highway 164. Go north on the Oquawka-Keithsburg
blacktop road for 9 miles. The office is located on the
right.
For visitors coming from the north, take Highway 17 to
Keithsburg. The forest is well signed on Highway 17. Turn
left at Main Street and go to the next 4-way stop. Turn
right (going south) and go 4 miles on the
Oquawka-Keithsburg blacktop. The office is located on the
left side of the road.
For visitors coming from the south, west, and east, DELABAR
PARK can be reached from Highway 164. The park is well
signed on Highway 164. Go north 2 miles on the
Oquawka-Keithsburg blacktop road. The park entrance is
located on the left.
If coming from the north, take Highway 17 south to
Keithsburg. Turn left at Main Street going east to the
first 4-way stop. Turn right (going south) and go 10 miles.
The park entrance is located on the right.
For visitors coming from the south, east, and the west,
HENDERSON COUNTY CONSERVATION AREA can be reached from
Highway 34. The site is well signed on Highway 34. Turn 1
mile west of junction 164 and 34(north) on a gravel road
and go 1 mile. The entrance is on the left side.
For visitors coming from the north, take Highway 164 south
to Gladstone. Continue south on 164 to junction 164 and 34.
Turn right and go west 1 mile. Then turn right (north) on
gravel road and go 1 mile and the park entrance is on the
left.

I-74:
I-74 to US 34 at EXIT 46A
Turn on US 34 west
Turn Right onto US 34 W/
turn right on RT 164 W. Continue to follow US 34 W &
Rt164
Take the US 34 W ramp toward Burlington
Follow Rt 164 to Oquawka
Right on River Road ( before you get into town, this is a
"T" road) go north
Right Turn on 2650 North ( Look for signs to camp)
Make left turn on 1500 E approx 1mi
Sandy Oaks on left side of road
FROM I-80 & I-88 to I-74:
I-74 to Ext 32 Woodhull,IL
Turn West on Rt 17 follow Rt 17 north to Alpha
Then turn left on Rt 17 to Aledo
Turn Left at Rt 94 (Courthouse on Left) approx 6mi
Turn Right torwards Seaton / Keithsburg (west)
Look for signs to campground,( Fertilizer Plant on corner)
Turn Left on 1500 East (Go past State Campground approx 1
mi)
Sandy Oaks Campground on right side of road
I-80 THROUGH Iowa City, IA
I 80 to Rt 38 / South to Muscatine,IA
Cross Mississippi River (this will be IL Rt 92)
Head South on first road towards New Boston
Turn Left on IL Rt.17
Take the first hard road
Turn Right ( Kiethsburg Blk Top)
Once in Keithsburg Turn left torwards Seaton
Look for signs for campground
Turn Right on 1500 E (Fertilzer Plant on corner)
